State Rep. Patti Bellock (R-Hinsdale) joined Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, Aptar CEO Stephan Tanda and Adapt Pharma President of U.S. Operations Mike Kelly at a press conference today on the opioid epidemic in the State of Illinois and how naloxone is helping in the fight against it. Aptar and Adapt will jointly donate 4,000 doses of NARCAN® Nasal Spray to the Illinois Governor’s Opioid Overdose Prevention and Intervention Task Force, which the Illinois Department of Public Health will accept on behalf of the state. An additional 1,000 doses will be donated to the McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition, near Aptar’s Crystal Lake headquarters.
