OAK BROOK – Local residents in Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, Westmont, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Darien and Downers Grove are invited to attend a Town Hall Meeting on the state budget be held from 10:00am – 11:30am on Thursday, September 18 at the Oak Brook Village Hall – Samuel Dean Board Room, sponsored by Rep. Patti Bellock (R-Hinsdale), the Deputy Minority Leader of the Illinois House of Representatives.
The town hall meeting features a presentation by Rep. Bellock with an update on the state budget; including a discussion on state spending, taxes, education, human services and more followed by a question-and-answer session with constituents. The town hall meeting is open to the public. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and bring a friend.
“It is critically important for local residents to have their voices heard on key issues impacting DuPage County families as we prepare for what is shaping up to be a pivotal Fall session of the General Assembly after the November elections; when the immediate future of state income tax rates will be decided and the impact of those decisions on jobs and our economy,” Rep. Bellock said. “Everyone is welcome to attend our town hall meeting; from small business owners and senior citizens to students and all those who are concerned about the challenges facing local families when it comes to jobs and quality of life issues.”
